Rebuilding Lives and Ties to the Community
Welcome to L-O-U Mercy Re-entry Ministries, an organization dedicated to supporting newly released ex-offenders in Lafayette County. Our comprehensive six-month program provides a safe, structured, and supervised environment which is essential for successful reintegration into society. We offer a range of services, including spiritual guidance to nurture the soul, employment counseling to enhance job readiness, job placement assistance to secure meaningful work, and financial management support to promote responsible budgeting and savings. Since our establishment in March 2016, we have been committed to reducing recidivism rates and helping individuals rebuild their lives in Oxford and Lafayette County. Our mission beyond just employment; we also strive to assist residents in transitioning from situations of eviction to stable housing, ensuring that they have a solid foundation to thrive as productive members of the community. Together, we are making a difference, one life at a time.

I'm most proud of the blessings that God has bestowed upon me, in my life. He's given me the vision to truly see that you can fall down, but you can still get back up. Hopefully I'll learn from my mistakes and have the opportunity to strengthen and improve the next thing I do.

Making A Difference
LOUMRM, an organization devoted to the profound transformation of lives through a comprehensive and holistic approach to addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing our society today. In light of the fact that Mississippi has one of the highest incarceration rates in the nation, we are acutely aware of the urgent necessity for exploring and implementing effective alternatives to incarceration. Our mission is centered around empowering both individuals and communities by creating significant opportunities that foster personal growth and resilience. By working together, we can take meaningful steps to confront critical issues such as eviction, ultimately making a lasting and positive impact on the lives of those who are most in need of and assistance.
Housing
At our organization, we recognize the profound injustices faced by ex-offenders reentering society after years of incarceration. Many are released with nothing but the clothes on their backs, often stepping into homelessness and overwhelming challenges. With the living wage in MS falling short, even full-time employment can leave them struggling to afford basic necessities. Our commitment to Homeless Outreach drives us to explore innovative solutions and provide support for those in need. Contact us to learn more about how we making a positive impact in the community.
Employment
Welcome to LOUMRM, where we are dedicated to breaking the cycle of recidivism in Mississippi. With 33% of released felons returning to the system, we're committed to making a change. Our leaders have curated a list of local employers who are open to hiring ex-offenders, as a vital link between job seekers and potential employers. Together, we can create opportunities and foster a brighter future for those seeking a second chance.

Making Change Possible
I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BPA degree majoring in criminal justice. I have been blessed to have had careers in general business management and supervision most of my adult life. I am a former Commissioned Air Force Officer as well. I currently serve as an Oxford Affordable Housing Commissioner, I am a Weekly Community Volunteer, a Marshal County Correctional Facility Volunteer Advisory Councilman, and I am a local congregation Elder. It just hurts my heart to see young women and children living out of cars and off the street. LOUMRM is working hard to reduce homelessness in Lafayette County and we need your support. 501(c)3 $mercyreentry,
